Question on crossing the atlantic by sea? - crossing atlantic with motorboat
What kind of pleasure boat .. (Size, price, etc.) would only pass through a large amount of water?
My budget is small-ish, so I can not be too big for anything but safety is a major concern, so do not want to spend less at the expense of sacrificing safety.
This is me and another person would need only a bed and rotate shifts. Comfort is a concern.
All the advice, tips, suggestions be great!

His inability to answer this question. It depends on your skills and experience. The Atlantic was crossed in very small boats (less than 5 meters), but was only a ruse, and I think after a hazardous condition. Many people have toured the world in small sailboats under 30 feet. I want to find something to at least 24 meters. You should also consider the models that you are considering.

Very small, but powerful keelboats May in fact, safer than the bigger boats as they travel abroad and instead of them, but the journey is rather unfortunate. Go with a full keel sloop or ketch strengthened with the keel pole and glut you with food and drinking water. Know much about boat handling, navigation and weather conditions before leaving. Anticipating no electricity (the rays are a fact of life in the open ocean sailing) and how to navigate it safely and without GPS or radar. You can make a functional Clock sextant and nautical almanac to buy for less than the cost of the cheapest handheld GPS (but I would like to have one of those, too).
First trip is not the largest yacht longer than necessary for the writers and the experience of the crew. Safety is the first to have done what many ships and yachts crossing the Atlantic. You can find some research on the H1 cruising.Sail go.Fuel offshore, as it is expensive and many need.
